This is some delicious tofu stir fry that I made with a chinese tea egg on top. This was my first time making tea leaf eggs and I over-cracked the shell so I didn’t end up with the pretty marbled look that I wanted, but it still tasted great!
Here is the basic recipe that I used:
Ingredients:
2 eggs
3 cups water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 bags oolong tea
2 tbsp. chinese 5-spice
1 cinnamon stick
1 tbsp. orange zest
Directions:
Bring water to boil in a small pot.
Add eggs and reduce heat for 8 minutes.
Remove eggs and lightly crack outer shell with a spoon. Do not remove the shell.
Add remaining ingredients and eggs to water and remove from heat. Allow to steep overnight
